Electronic Repair Technician

Primary Role
Electronic Repair Technician will be a component level technician. Responsibilities include; component level repair, analysis, and calibration of assigned Pro-level audio, lighting, and video equipment. The Associate must work at a timely pace with projects as well as ensure quality control and must keep up-to-date detailed computer record of all service and time utilized.
- Troubleshooting and repair of electronic components, with an emphasis on LIVE! core products
- Responsible for operation and use of the following equipment: basic bench test equipment including: oscilloscope, multi-meter, impedance meter and solder skills.
- Responsible for accurate tracking on time sheets, service/installation tickets, and inventory items.
- Assist in the documentation of testing procedures for component level repairs.
- Updates customer files related to time tracking.
- Troubleshoots and repairs electronic components.
- Assist with preventive maintenance of internal and external customer equipment.
- Assist in the fabrication and termination of cabling, rack prep, multi-pins and electronic equipment racks as needed.
- Respond to customer service related issues promptly.
- Responsible for reading and interpreting wiring diagrams, schematics, and blueprints.
- Achieve working knowledge and understanding of Company operation software, and work within such system on a day-to-day basis.
- Comply with Company and customer safety programs.
Accountability
The Electronic Repair Technician will be accountable to the Systems Integration Service Manager. Secondary accountability will be to the Director of Systems Integration and other management team members of the Company.
Work Experience & Skills Required
Qualifications include completion of an education in electronics repair and/or have 3 years of on the job / field experience component level repair work years. On the job, experience may include: military electronics repair and maintenance, repairing TVs, Camcorders, VCR, etc. Surface mount soldering, understanding of schematics, working knowledge of related tools and electronic test equipment is required. This professional may also have a successful record of accomplishment in the field of, analysis, calibration, and repair of pro-audio, video, and theatrical lighting equipment of electronic equipment, as it relates to the A/V and Lighting industry. Teamwork, organizational skills, and a valid and current drivers license are essential to this position. A deep understanding and knowledge of the professional systems integration and audio-visual industry is a plus.
GENERAL PHYSICAL, MENTAL, AND ENVIRONMENTAL REQUIREMENTS
The position requires the Associate will have the ability to stand on a concrete floor for long periods of time and lift and/or move equipment at least 40 pounds on a repetitive basis. The Associate must be able to lift equipment from floor height to bench - workspace height to prepare gear for repair.
1. Associate is required to stand, walk, climb, sit, and use hands and fingers.
2. Lifting of objects is required.
3. Reaching, grasping and carrying activities also required.
4. The noise level in the work environment is usually moderate.
5. Although most work is performed inside, occasional outside activities are subject to seasonal temperature fluctuations.
Travel
Some travel maybe required to job sites and customer locations.
